Together with my co-founder, we developed and launched Better Bites, a functional mushroom-based dip for the European market. Our goal was to build a new product from the ground up, navigating the complexities of the EU marketplace and establishing a strong brand identity.
Our venture followed a methodical, phase-based approach to ensure we were building a product that had a clear market fit.
Research & Planning: We conducted thorough market research to understand the European functional foods industry, its trends, and our competition. We then created a lean business plan that outlined our business model, key activities, and strategic vision for the product.
Product & Strategy: We led all product R&D, which involved numerous iterations to deliver on our customer value proposition. I developed our brand identity and a comprehensive go-to-market strategy, which we implemented across multiple platforms including our e-commerce site and social media.
Execution & Growth: We built relationships with key partners and suppliers through strategic partnerships to support our supply chain and operations. We also developed a sales strategy to acquire our first customers and begin building a loyal base.
